For the record:
1. I never said breaking Kweiris siege was an 'astonishing' victory: only noted that the advances came despite IS calls in Aleppo province to mobilise in response to the push towards Kweiris and the classic diversionary tactic of counter-offensives, (which targeted Al-Safira and Khanaser road).
2. The key was organisation and leading of ground ops by Qasim Suleimani bringing together a variety of proxies including Quwat Al-Ridha, Nujaba, Hezbollah et al.: hardly mere 'volunteers'.
